Access Sefton provides talking therapies (including counselling and CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) for people experiencing anxiety, depression and other mild-to-moderate mental health conditions (for example stress, social anxiety, health anxiety, self-image/body issues, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and post-natal depression). The service is free and funded by the NHS.
Anyone aged 16 year and over who lives in Sefton and is registered with a Sefton GP is able to access our service by self-referral, either by calling 0151 955 3210 or by visiting www.insighthealthcare.org/accesssefton. Alternatively, your GP can refer to this service for counselling or CBT if you are experiencing depression or anxiety.
Therapy can take place in a variety of community venues and GP surgeries, as well as over the phone where this is appropriate. We will work with you to find somewhere suitable and convenient.
In the event of an emergency, if you are unable to keep yourself safe, you should contact your GP or call 999.
