Organisation aims:
ICC exists to identify and respond to the needs of Irish,Irish Traveller and Gyspy communities across Merseyside, West Lancashire and West Cheshire. We currently offer a range of front-line information, advice and outreach support services including drop-in information and advice, around a range of issues including welfare benefits, from initial welfare benefit checks and form filling to representation at appeals and tribunals and also within both health and mental health services and Appropriate Adult support for vulnerable young people and adults. We offer home, hospital and prison visits to our community who may be vulnerable through age, poor health / mental health, isolation, homelessness, poor housing, low income and substance misuse. ICC also supports Wirral Council to meet their government expectation to undertake Welfare Needs Assessments for vulnerable and homeless encamped families. We work to reduce isolation, and empower older people to make decisions on how they can best meet their social, cultural and welfare needs.
